Punjab’s Ambitious Plan: 8 State-of-the-Art UPSC coaching Centers to open, offering free training, announces CM Bhagwant Mann

The Punjab government has decided to open 8 ultra-modern UPSC coaching centres across the state. These coachings will provide free training to the aspirants for the examination. The decision was taken after the decline of participation by youths from the state in the Indian Administrative Services and Indian Police Services.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called a high-level meeting on Saturday and expressed his concern about the migration of youth to foreign countries in search of better jobs. Mann further said that he wants people from his state to participate in more numbers in the UPSC exam and enhance the state’s representation in the Administrative Services.

He further added youth have not been able to crack the exam despite having enormous talent since most of them wanted to go abroad. He said there was also a lack of quality training in the state.

The chief minister said the state government was committed to addressing the issue for which these eight coaching centres are being opened across Punjab. He said these centres will provide quality training, free of cost, for clearing the UPSC exams so that youth from the state can serve the country in top positions in government.

Mann further said Punjab had a glorious legacy of producing ace bureaucrats, who had made a significant contribution to the socioeconomic development of the country. He said this rich tradition had to be upheld in the future as well, in which these centres will play a pivotal role.

The CM Mann said the sole aim of opening these centres in the state was to ensure that Punjabi youth sit in high offices and serve the country. He said the training would be free for all students.

UPSC conducts exams every year to recruit top government officials at different posts. Aspirants across the country prepare for this exam to get selection and serve the nation. The UPSC conducts exams in three phases: Pre, Mains, and Interview to select the best candidate in the services. The candidates who secure the highest mark are awarded the top position in Administrative Services.
