SCAORA Requests SC For Publication Of Advance List And Facilitation Of Lawyers Access To Their Respective Chambers

The Supreme Court Advocates-On-Record Association in a letter addressed to the Secretary General of the Supreme Court has requested publication of advance list and facilitation of lawyers access to their respective chambers.

The Association through its Secretary Joseph Aristotle has requested the Supreme Court to publish an advance list for the non-urgent matters that may be listed since the lawyers are unable to get access to their files and robes which are lying in their chambers and offices due to the sealed borders of Delhi NCR amid COVID 19 lockdown.

The Association has further stated that “in view of the listing of non urgent matters it is also of immense necessity that the lawyers access to their chambers are facilitated to enable them to retrieve their files and robes. It is crucial for lawyers to have access to their files kept in their offices/Chambers for effective delivery of justice to their clients.”

The Association has requested that their plea be treated on an urgent basis with appropriate directions to serve the purpose.
