The Supreme Court on Friday has given directions for listing of plea filed by the Committee of Management Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Varanasi which talks about the order of Varanasi court with regards to video survey of Gyanvapi Mosque.
The matter would be now be heard before a bench presided over by Justice Dhananjaya Yashwant Chandrachud.
In a late night order, a Bench led by Chief Justice of India (CJI) Nuthalapati Venkata Ramana, said, “We deem it appropriate to direct the Registry to list the matter before the Bench presided over by Justice DY Chandrachud.
The matter was discussed in the morning by advocate Hufeza Ahmadi,who is the lawyer of the petitioner.
The matter was mentioned in the early hearing, to which, the Supreme Court had refused passing of any interim order, but had given a word that they will go through the papers and documents and then will probably list it on basis of importance.
