Judges of the Supreme Court will receive their first Covid-19 vaccine shot from tomorrow. Family members of the judges will also be inoculated in the vaccination drive.
The Union Health ministry issued a clarification that Judges and their family members will not be given the discretion to choose between Bharat Biotech’s Covaxin and AstraZeneca’s Covishield. It will be entirely through the Co-Win System, an app which enables people to register, choose location and get a certificate after vaccination.
Further, the vaccination has been arranged at the Supreme Court Complex by the Registry. Judges and their family members have an option to receive the jab either in the Court Complex or hospital specified by the government.
The Central government on Monday launched the second phase of Covid-19 vaccination drive with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi receiving the first shot of the Covaxin vaccine.
