An incident of firing was reported from the Saket Court in New Delhi on Friday.
Reports said a man dressed like a lawyer shot a lady who has been rushed to hospital.
Reports added that the incident arose from a marital dispute and the husband came to the court in lawyer’s attire with the intention to shoot his own wife but misfired and another lawyer got shot on his neck.
The lawyer has not sustained a serious injury and has been taken to a hospital after initial first-aid. The assailant is said to have shot at his wife four times.
This is the not the first of its kind of episode, in fact this is the second which was reported from a court complex in Delhi in less than two years.
On September 24, 2021, three people, including gangster Jitender Gogi, were killed inside a courtroom at the Rohini Court Complex premises.
The incident had taken back inside Courtroom number 207, where Gogi, an undertrial, was produced that morning and two men waited in the guise of lawyers. They shot and killed the undertrials after which the Delhi Police killed the two assailants in retaliation.
The Rohini court has also seen a low-intensity blast in December 2021 due to a personal rivalry between an accused and a lawyer.
