The transfer petition has been filed in Supreme Court by the Centre in the wake of pending matters before various High Courts across the Country challenging its new IT Rules.

The plea in Supreme Court was seeking to quash the notification by MOEF by which Matheran hill station of Maharashtra was declared as eco-sensitive zone, and it banned plying of vehicles except fire engine and ambulance.
