Supreme Court two-judge bench has issued notice in a plea filed by a student of final year BA (History)(Hons) who was removed from the “Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University,” for allegedly attempting to organise protests against Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019 (CAA).
JNU student Sharjeel Imam, arrested for allegedly making inflammatory speeches during the protests against CAA, told a Delhi court on Monday that he cannot be hammered with sedition as his speeches did not call for violence.
