The bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad gave relief of four weeks to the relevant departments. The High Court will take up the case next on July 29.
Delhi High Court division bench observed that the PIL raised several important issues with regard to care and protection of stray dogs and other animals in the city, which neede “urgent attention” of the government.
The Supreme court also said that even if the matter is referred to the Constitution Bench, we will try to have both sides complete their arguments by May 15.

The Delhi High Court on Tuesday sought a response from the Delhi Lieutenant Governor, the Delhi Government and the Delhi School Tribunal over a plea alleging inaction on their part in creating an official website of the Tribunal wherein daily and final orders passed by the Tribunal could be uploaded.
