Economically weaker section

The Delhi High Court today directed private unaided schools to provide gadgets and internet connection to economically weaker section (EWS) students for attending online classes.

After the partition Delhi saw a huge influx of migrants and the Government was forced to ease rules for the migrants and to re-settle thousands of migrant and the laws were in favour of protecting economically weaker section of the society even for those who cannot pay rent or apply for loan.

New Delhi: The Kerala High Court has dismissed a PIL that wanted a directive to the state to fix 10 percent quota for students belonging to the economically weaker section.

A three-judge bench of Chief Justice SA Bobde and Justices R Subhash Reddy and BR Gavai, passed the reference order today. This came while the court was hearing a batch of petitions challenging the validity of the Constitution (103rd Amendment) Act, 2019.
