The Punjab and Haryana High Court recently dismissed a PIL filed against the appointment of a technical advisor in the Punjab State Agriculture Marketing Board (PSAMB) on contract basis on the ground that a vigilance inquiry regarding disproportionate assets is pending against him.

Justice Nijjar was enrolled as an Advocate of the Punjab and Haryana High Court on April 28, 1977. The Government of Punjab appointed him as an Additional Advocate General on October 13, 1995.

The bench of Justice Tejinder Singh Dhindsa issued notice while hearing the petition of Manohar Singh of Begowal (Ludhiana).
