The Division Bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar and Justice KH. Nobin Singh noted that the Corporation reported to the Deputy Secretary, MAHUD, Government of Manipur, vide letter dated 27.08.2021, that the park was being maintained well and that regular cleaning was also being undertaken.

The Writ Petition was filed in Manipur High Court which had disqualified Shri Kshetrimayum Biren Singh for being a member of the Manipur Legislative Assembly in terms of Para 2 (1) (a) of the Tenth Schedule of the Constitution of India, challenging the order of the speaker on the following grounds-

The Manipur High Court has disposed of a PIL, seeking constitution of separate Autonomous District Councils for the newly-created hill districts of Noney, Kangpokpi, Pherzawl and Kamjong, stating that the State Cabinet has already taken a decision on the same.

The PIL in Manipur High Court was filed by a resident of Chalou Maning Leikai that after the village was declared a Containment Zone, no water is available because water tankers are reluctant to come to the area to supply water.

The Supreme Court division bench after hearing the Sr Advocate Prashant Bhushan and Tushar Mehta ordered the petitioner to issue a public notice in at least two local newspaper returnable on 18 August.

The observation came in a Petition filed by Nandita Haksar seeking directions on the State of Manipur for providing a safe passage to 7 Myanmar-based persons for enabling them to travel to Delhi to seek protection from UNHCR, Vasant Vihar, New Delhi.

Law graduate from Delhi University, Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar was enrolled as a member of Bar Council of Andhra Pradesh in August 1988, and he also served as Government pleader in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh from 2000-2003.

The Supreme Court today allowed the Government of India to continue with its construction in the Trilateral Highway Connectivity Project between India, Myanmar and Thailand. The court clarified that owing to the importance of the project the work should go on.
