The Petition said that this has been confirmed by the Municipal Corporation. Sealing orders were also issued by the authority in the year 2015 , but in spite of this the illegal construction went on unabated.
New Delhi (ILNS): The Uttarakhand High Court has stayed the arrest of MLA Mahesh Negi. The MLA had filed a petition in court for cancellation of the FIR lodged against him in a sexual abuse and also asking for protection against arrest. The court has directed the MLA to cooperate in the investigation.
The Supreme Court has passed a slew of directions to the chief justices of every high court in order to ensure expeditious disposal of pending criminal cases against the Legislators (MPs and MLAs). The directives included advice to the chief justices to personally oversee such cases.
Today, the Supreme Court bench of Justices Mrs R. Banumathi, Ajay Rastogi and Aniruddha Bose dismissed a bail cancellation appeal by Singh’s son Hemant, saying that it was filed without any proper ground and the order of Delhi High Court was declared proper.
