The Supreme Court has dismissed an appeal to an earlier order by the NCLAT, saying that delays are not condonable.

The Supreme Court on Monday extended the term of Justice AIS Cheema, judicial member of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, by three months. Justice Cheema was scheduled to demit office on September 10.

The Calcutta High Court has struck down the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) order directing all financial creditors to mandatorily file default record from Information Utility along with a plea under Section 7 of Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code.

The National Company Law Appellate Tribunal has extended the suspension of its functioning till July 10th, 2020, after its staff member was found positive. The Court work including virtual hearing, filing, etc will also remain suspended during this period.
