Allahabad HC gives UP govt official time to implement order

The Allahabad High Court has taken a rigid stance on the non-compliance of the order of appointment of the candidates of Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2018 in Uttar Pradesh.

The High Court has issued contempt notice to Special Secretary Section Five Basic Education Manish Verma for not complying with the order of the Court. The Court has given Manish Verma another opportunity to comply with the order. If the does not comply with the order now, the special secretary has to personally appear in Court and clarify, the order by Justice Vivek Kumar Birla reads in the contempt petition filed by petitioner Anjana Tripathi.

The petitioner said the High Court had instructed to consider the appointment of the petitioner in 2018 recruitment and take a decision. But this order is not being followed by the authorities. The Government Advocate informed the Court that the appointment case is pending in the government. On the basis of the reply given by the government, the Court has given notice to the special secretary in this case, giving him another chance to comply with the order.

The Court has sought answers in this case, saying that if the answer is not filed, then charges of contempt will be made. During this, there is also another opportunity to follow orders.

The petitioner said that on October 22, 2020, the Basic Education Department had been ordered to issue the revised result by giving the marks of two wrong questions to the petitioner. This order has not been followed yet. Basic Education Department Advocate said that the case has been sent to the Government with a list of 103 candidates.
