Delhi High Court adjourns hearing plea of Sushant Singh Rajput’s father

The vacation bench comprising Justices Anup Jairam Bhambhani and Jasmeet Singh raised a preliminary query as to whether the said movie has been released or not.

The Delhi High Court today adjourned the hearing of an appeal by Krishna Kishore Singh, the father of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, against a June 10 order of the court where it had refused an injunction barring film producers from releasing movies based on the life of the late actor.

The vacation bench comprising Justices Anup Jairam Bhambhani and Jasmeet Singh raised a preliminary query as to whether the said movie has been released or not.

Jayant Mehta, senior counsel appearing for Singh, submitted that the movie is yet to be released, though Chander Lall, senior counsel for one of the respondents, submitted the movie was released on June 11 over an OTT platform. The court then said that preliminary facts pertaining to the release of the movie have to be verified before proceeding further in the matter. The matter will now be taken up on June 25, Friday.
