New Delhi (ILNS): The Supreme Court bench of Chief Justice S. A. Bobde and Justices A. S. Bopanna and V. Ramasubramanian today dismissed a plea by Skoda Auto Volkswagen seeking quashing of an FIR registered in Uttar Pradesh over allegedly installing cheat devices in its cars.
The Allahabad High Court in October had dismissed the Company’s plea seeking quashing of the FIR of July 10 registered against it in Noida for installing “cheat devices” in its vehicles.
The high court, however, had directed that the official of the company shall not be arrested in the case till the submission of the police report, provided he shall co-operate with the investigation and shall appear as and when called upon to assist in the investigation.
