In a significant development in the Jiah Khan suicide case, the CBI has come to the conclusion that she killed herself. The central agency told the Bombay High Court that her death was caused by “suicidal hanging” and there were “oral, documentary, scientific and cyber forensic evidences” to support its claim. The CBI was replying to a petition filed by Jiah’s mother, Rabia Khan, who had sought a SIT probe into the case. The court directed Rabia Khan to file her response to the CBI’s stand within two weeks.
