The counsel for the CBI on Wednesday (January 31) prayed before Patiala House Court judge Bharat Parashar that since three cases are pending against the coal allocation scam accused, he intends to move an application for having joint trial for all the three cases for which he seeks some time.

The counsel said that all accused persons – cases are against SKS Ispat & Power Ltd. & Ors. – are facing trial in one or more other cases in this court itself. In another case charge sheet has been filed by the CBI which is under consideration. Hence the time for a full look into the situation.

The court granted time till February 22.
