The Delhi High Court on Monday (March 5) issued directions to the trial court to conclude proceedings in Uphaar tragedy case before November 30, 2018 on fast-track basis and submit the report regarding the case on September 9, 2018.

The Court was acting on the petition by the Association of Victims of Uphaar Fire Tragedy alleging tampering of documents in trial of 1997 Uphaar fire tragedy.

During the course of proceedings, the petitioner submitted to the Court that the matter has been pending since a decade and nothing has happened till date and the court has testified only one witness in the case.
