Barely days after he was sworn in as chief justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi is already an unsuspecting victim of social media. A twitter account with the handle @Ranjan_GogoiCJI – has garnered over 2,000 followers but it turns out to be a fake account.

This fraud surfaced after advocate Gaurav Kumar Bansal lodged a complaint with the Delhi police regarding the account, claiming that the account could cause confusion among people. CJI Gogoi, it appears, does not have a twitter handle and is not very visible on social media.
