Delhi High Court asks for status of other structures at Amir Khusro Park

The Delhi High Court bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C Harishankar on Monday (July 24) directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to submit a status report on the terms of building period and renovation done on Dargah Musafir Shah, Dargah Firdosi and Masjid Iilahi Khan in Amir Khusro Park at the Nizamuddin area.

The bench has been hearing a petition filed for the removal of unauthorized construction and encroachments in and around Amir Khushro Park.

Earlier, the court had ordered the removal of new structures and video recording the demolition drive. The court had also instructed DCP/South East to give full assistance in the demolition and removal.

The matter will be heard again on August 1.
