SCBA Writes To Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal For Setting Up COVID-19 Testing Facility In Supreme Court Complex

The Supreme Court Bar Association SCBA has written a letter to the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal requesting him for setting up a facility for testing COVID-19 in Supreme Court premises.

The SCBA has said that many laboratories are declining to entertain patients while others do not have the required kits to test COVID 19. Hence the SCBA members who have fever and cough seek to get them tested by setting up a testing facility for COVID 19 in the Supreme Court Premises with appropriate equipment and kits.

“This will enable all users of the Court be they members of our Association, teh General litigant, staff/clerks working with members, staff of teh Supreme Court Bar Association, Staff of Hon’ble Supreme Court et al to get themselves checked for any infection by the Corona Virus,” the letter reads.

The Association has further said that the setting up of a testing facility is essential keeping in mind the fact that the premises of the Supreme Court are visited by a large number of persons which include litigants who come to Delhi for their cases.

The Association has stated that the Supreme Court has so far taken all steps to control the spread of COVID 19 in the Supreme Court premises and has requested the Chief Minister to take early action in the matter.
