Anticipatory Bail

The Karnataka High Court has granted anticipatory bail to a man who had allegedly compared Coronavirus with the Quran.

The Supreme Court today dismissed the anticipatory bail plea by Kerala activist Rehana Fathima in a case in which she has been hauled up for making her minor children paint her half nude body and then uploading that video online.

The Kerala High Court while hearing an anticipatory bail petition, said that advance bail in a Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (NDPS) case could not be granted just because "nothing was recovered from the accused."
