Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana on Saturday said the key to equal access to justice lies in creating legal awareness first. Legal awareness will be the galvanising force behind the reform process that we are propagating. Only when the vulnerable classes are aware about their rights, they can shape their own future.
A bench Supreme Court said that the suo motu extension of limitation period will stand withdrawn with effect from October 1, 2021. The Court observed that as the COVID-19 cases have come down and indicated that a buffer period of 90 days will be given with effect from October 1.
