House Arrest

The founder of the well known terror outfit Jamat-ud-Dawa (JuD) was yesterday sentenced to 10 years of jail by an Anti-Terrorism Court in Pakistan.

National Conference (NC) president Farooq Abdullah and vice-president Omar Abdullah have filed habeas corpus petitions before the J&K High Court, seeking the ‘release’ of 15 senior party members from detention, but the J&K administration has clearly told the court that not one of them is under detention.
