The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed a writ petition seeking modification of Covid-19 treatment protocol for mild cases with a cost of Rs 25,000, saying the petition though filed as a Public Interest Litigation is nothing but Publicity Interest Litigation.

The former top cop seeks from the Supreme Court a direction to the CBI to act on his representation against the alleged threats made by the Maharashtra government's inquiry officer.

The Delhi High Court on Monday granted liberty to the petitioner to make representation to the Government while hearing a Public Interest Litigation filed seeking relief regarding permanent redressal of oxygen crisis due to Covid-19 pandemic that continues to report more than 3 lakh cases every day.

A Public Interest Litigation has been filed in the Supreme Court, seeking direction to declare the results of class XII students. The petition filed by Advocate Mamta Sharma amid the widespread of Covid-19 pandemic, which is more severe and worse than last year.

It was highlighted in the PIL that the Authorities are busy in managing the COVID situation in this crucial and / are busy in other essential works due to COVID.

The PIL has been filed by Political Party, Social Democratic Party of India, represented by its National Vice President Sharfuddin Ahmad, through Advocate A Selvin Raja.

The High Court observed that though the issues raised in the PIL has been diluted to some extent after the declaration of the Assembly result and the role of the Election Commission as on the date is over

Petitioner Advocate has pointed out that Section 12 of the Disaster Management Act mandates payment of Ex-Gratia amount to the person affected by the Disaster.

The petition filed by Pratyush Prasanna, practising Advocate said, “public interest litigation has arisen out of health emergency arising due to overwhelmed crematoriums and untimely burial/cremations of people of Delhi who have succumbed to death due to Covid-19.”

The Division Bench of Chief Justice D. N. Patel and Justice Jasmeet Singh passed this order while hearing a PIL filed by Shivleen Pasricha, through Advocate Amresh Anand.
