Punjab and Haryana High Court gives relief to Delhi BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga

Punjab and Haryana High court in an urgent court hearing latte Saturday night has given relief to Delhi BJP leader Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga after he was issued a non-bailable warrant by a court in Mohali.

With the assurance of no coercive action to be taken till May 10 when the next hearing is due.

Senior Advocate Anil Mehta, has filed a plea seeking a stay on the arrest warrant of Bagga.

Bagga’s has requested quashing FIR against him.

Justice Anoop Chitkara of the Punjab and Haryana High Court held the hearing at his residence late on Saturday night.

The Punjab Advocate General Anmol Rattan Sidhu “We are not executing the arrest warrant till May 10,” said Punjab Advocate General Anmol Rattan Sidhu. “It is on the concession by the state government.

The police was directed by the court in Mohali for the arrest of Bagga and produce him before it. The court had said that they deem it fit to issue a non bailable warrant against Bagga as he was evading arrest.

The arrest would have made the investigation easier and more coherent. The judicial magistrate Ravtesh Inderjit Singh(1st class) said,that a non bailable warrant is a necessity for such people.

The warrant was issued to Bagga in connection to an inflammatory post that he put in the media and twitter.

A case was registered against him in Mohali on April 1, This is the same case in which he was arrested from his Delhi residence on Friday morning.
The court was apprised that although five notices had been sent to Bagga

The court was also told that Bagga had been served five notices by the police but had failed to join the investigation.
