The Uttar Pradesh Government has appointed three judicial members in the UP Revenue Board, Allahabad, and have been ordered to take immediate charge. With these appointments, the quorum of a total of five members in the Council has been completed.
This information has been given by the Government Advocate to the Allahabad High Court hearing the petition filed to fill the vacant posts.
The Court has directed the petitioner to be present for the next hearing on December 16 and said all the appointed members should be given information about assuming charge on that day.
This order has been given by Justice Ajit Kumar on the petition of Sitaram Bharti. The Revenue Council Registrar has said that Om Prakash Rai, Sahadev and Amar Nath Upadhyay have been appointed on December 13.
The Court rejected the petition filed to fill vacant posts in the Revenue Council but directed the State Government to fill the posts. To which, the Government Advocate informed the Court that the vacancies had been filled.
