Acting on the urgent plea by some students claiming that four questions of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2019 were wrongly set and out of NCERT syllabus, the apex court on Thursday said that it will hear the matter on Friday.
This year over 1.4 million students appeared for NEET examination and the results were declared on June 5.
It is pertinent to note that some states have demanded scrapping of NEET exam. For instance, Tamil Nadu parties recently said that the NEET exam should be abolished as NEET question paper is based on the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) syllabus, which is found to be complicated by students of the Tamil Nadu State Board.
The parties are of the view only students who can afford to study in private coaching classes were able to clear the exams, while poor students from rural areas were at a disadvantage in tackling the NEET.
