Supreme Court refuses relief to Noida CEO against NBW issued by Allahabad High Court

The CEO had gone to SC against the decision of High Court.

She was issued a non bailable warrant against Maheshwari in the case of contempt.

Justice Saral Srivastava Allahabad high Court had passed the order on Thursday in a contempt plea filed by Manorama Kuchhal and another person who had their lands to acquired in 1990 by the New Okhla Industrial Development Authority (NOIDA) but were never given compensation till date.

The Court summoned the CEO, NOIDA in the contempt proceeding, but she did not turn before the court. The counsel representing her request the Court not to take up the matter till she reaches the Court as her flight is delayed,

This is a contempt of court and looks like a deliberate and willful disrespect to the Court, as the Officer of the rank of Chief Executive Officer of a Corporation expected the Court to take up the matter at her mercy.
