The association said farmers have the right to discuss, criticise and protest against the Centre's farm laws. It called upon all concerned Governments to uphold the farmers' right to peaceful protest.

The legal fraternity has come out in full support of the farmers’ demands and has urged the Government of India to consider the genuine demands of the farmer community.

Ahead of the Bandh, the Home Ministry on Monday issued an advisory to states and Union Territories, in which, it asked them to tighten security in view of Covid-19 guidelines during Tuesday’s Bharat Bandh.

New Delhi (ILNS): The Jammu and Kashmir state administration has issued three notices to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association to clarify its position with regard to declaring Kashmir as a “disputed area” and barred it from holding elections.

The Supreme Court Bar Association has written to the Secretary-General, Supreme Court of India requesting resumption of the Proximity Card for using Libraries stating that “the members of the Bar are struggling with the facilities which they use to get earlier.”
