Investigating Officer Seema Pahuja and CBI officer appeared in the Hathras District Court today. The CBI filed the charge-sheet in the Special SC/ST Court.

The Court had previously shocked at the glaring instances of lethargy on part of the law. On a 21 year delay on the arrest of dowry death accused and more than two-year delay on uploading of Order on the Patna High Court website.

An earlier bail application was also dismissed by the court on September 24, 2020, when the charge was framed against Apoorva for murder under Section 302 of IPC.

The Supreme Court has stayed the death sentence of person convicted in a gruesome murder case. In the brutal massacre, a woman was not only strangled to death, but her limbs were amputated.

In a June 2018 shootout case at Jamia Nagar, the Principal magistrate of Juvenile board, Delhi vide order dated 01.07.2020 has granted bail to the accused in an attempt to murder case.

A petition has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking directions to restrain the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu from holding the portfolio of Home Ministry till completion of the investigation and trial in Sathankulam twin murder case.
