A Delhi Court yesterday disposed of a plea filed by Naveen Kumar Jindal, BJP Spokesperson against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly disclosing the identity of a 9-year-old minor rape victim who was allegedly gang-raped and murdered in Delhi Cantonment area.

A bench headed by Justice UU Lalit set aside the high court judgment saying the most important ingredient of constituting sexual assault is sexual intent and not skin-to-skin contact with the child.

On November 10 , Lucknow MPMLA court has convicted former Uttar Pradesh Minister Gayatri Prajapati, and his associates Ashok Tiwari and Ashish Shukla for gangrape and provisions of the POCSO Act.

Co-accused Vikas Verma, Rupeshwar, Amarendra Singh Pintu and Chanderpal were acquitted due to lack of evidence. The court will pronounce the sentence against the culprits in the case on Friday, 12 November.
