The Delhi High Court today deferred hearing on a petition filed by the Resident Doctors Association, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and others against Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev for his derogatory remarks against allopathy and allopathic doctors regarding the treatment of Covid-19.

The Doctors Association alleged that Baba Ramdev was creating doubts in the minds of general public regarding the safety and efficacy of allopathic treatments, as well as the Covid-19 vaccines

The Supreme Court last week has asked yoga guru Baba Ramdev to produce the original video and transcript over his alleged remarks on allopathy cure for Covid-19 and has list the matter for further hearing on July 5.

Following Yoga Guru Swami Ramdev's rant against the allopathy cure for covid 19, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) sent him a legal notice asking him to publish a written apology.

Ramdev’s comments on the efficacy of allopathic medicines gained a controversial spotlight in May, drawing the anger of the medical fraternity at a time when the country was battling against Covid second wave. He even called allopathic medicines stupid, which angered doctors all over the country
