The Bar Association of India has expressed its deep concern regarding reports of the search and seizure operation carried out by the Delhi Police on the premises of Delhi-based Advocate Mehmood Pracha.

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has expressed deep concern on the illegal and brazen exercise of brute power by the police and action taken by them contrary to law against members of the legal fraternity.

The court has also asked the investigating officer of the case to be present in the next hearing on December 27 and produce the entire video footage of the search.

Not only this, Pracha has also appeared for Bhim Army chief Chandrashekhar, who came to protest at Jama Masjid in Delhi in the CAA case.

The petitioner has sought liberty to withdraw petition to approach Supreme Court. A two-judge bench of Justices Siddharth Mridul & Talwant Singh of Delhi High Court has granted liberty to petitioner.
