The Karnataka High Court said that the alleged attempt to pay a "bribe to the petitioner for securing the post of Governor" has lowered the prestige of Judges and the post of Governor.

The petitioners followed the order of the Karnataka High Court, directing them to approach the NGT in a plea challenging Section 40 of the Biological Diversity Act, 2002.

The bench was hearing the arguments on the issue “whether the Math was attached to the Temple or not?” and has there been any inquiry on this issue.

The collegium has also approved the proposal of Advocate Aditya Sondhi and Judicial Officers Rajendra Badamikar, and Khazi Jayabunnisa Mohiuddin for elevation as Judges of the Karnataka High Court.
